For history enthusiasts, Phaselis Ancient City is a real highlight. Founded by Rhodian sailors in the 7th century BC, it was an important harbour city through Roman and Byzantine times. The ancient theatre, agora, aqueducts, and Roman baths are captivating. After exploring the ruins, take a relaxing dip at the lovely beach beside the ancient city, where history meets nature perfectly.
3. Çıralı & Yanartaş (Chimaera)
Çıralı is peaceful, picturesque, and home to the legendary Yanartaş (Chimaera)—natural flames that have burned constantly for thousands of years due to underground gas. Visiting at night is especially magical. The area is also known for its quiet, wide beaches, clear waters, and excellent hiking trails. It’s even a nesting area for endangered loggerhead turtles, making Çıralı important for wildlife conservation.
4. Mount Tahtalı (Olympos Teleferik)
